Aftercare
All Contour Boxes are finished with 'wax-oil' - a high quality finish containing natural ingredients and very easy to repair compared to a plastic based lacquer.
Buff occasionally with a cotton, lint free cloth and a small amount of pure beeswax. The topography can be kept dust free with a small clean brush such as a toothbrush.
Wood characteristics
Oak is a natural material and as such will expand and contract with the seasons and the humidity of the room in which it is placed. Tom only uses the highest grade of oak utilising particular parts of the tree for specific box components to minimise this effect. However it is strongly recommended that you keep your box out of direct sunlight and away from any strong sources of heat such as near radiators or fire places.
